Under the Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act, anyone who (i) performs work, (ii) furnishes materials, (iii) provides services, or (iv) rents equipment for improvements to a real estate property has a lien on the property and can file a lien claim in accordance with the time limits and requirements set out in the Act.

The Garage Keeper's Lien Act governs the filing of liens for storage, repairs or maintenance of motor vehicles and farm vehicles.
